Cosmetics, fragrance, hair care — if you’re looking for products to help you look and feel your very best, Sephora is the place to go.

This retail giant offers a staggering selection of carefully curated beauty items at its 2,300 stores worldwide, 590-plus smaller footprint stores inside JCPenney locations throughout the U.S. and online at Sephora.com.

Fortunately, you don’t need to spend a bundle to purchase a bevy of the best beauty products at Sephora. Instead, you can take advantage of tips and tricks that will keep both you and your savings account looking simply smashing, darling!

Following are eight ways to save at Sephora.

Check out the ‘Sale’ webpage

Want to highlight your beauty for less? You can find many of the best deals at Sephora by checking out the Sale page on its website. Recent bargains included Sephora’s Two Ways About It Brush Set for $39 (normally $70) and the Colorful Eyeshadow Filter Palette for $15 (normally $28).

Join Sephora’s Beauty Insider program

Join the free Beauty Insider program, and you’ll access a host of rewards opportunities. Among other benefits, you’ll get a free birthday gift — you have no idea how much I look forward to these! You’ll also get access to complimentary beauty classes. Plus, every dollar you spend earns you a reward point.

Cash in those points by participating in the Rewards Bazaar, which offers new rewards every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT.

Paid membership in Beauty Insider — with greater levels of benefits — is also available.

Spend enough to get freebies

Here at Money Talks News, we are loath to encourage you to ever spend more than you have to. But if you love Sephora – and who doesn’t? – and plan to shop there regularly, try to group your items into a single purchase so you get a freebie thrown in.

For example, you get a gratis 45-minute full-face custom makeover from a Sephora beauty adviser when you spend at least $50 or redeem a $50 gift card.

Spend $125, and a senior beauty expert will give you a 90-minute customized skin care, fragrance and beauty makeover.

Check out the Beauty Offers page

The Sephora website includes a Beauty Offers page where you can find a slew of limited-time markdowns, free products and exclusive offers. For example, we recently saw offers for a free skin care sample bag, a free blush mini and many other goodies.

Sign up at Studentrate.com

Are you a student who’s short on cash? Don’t let that stop you from “unlocking your beauty potential.” Exercise those smarts by joining Studentrate.com, and you’ll get up to 10 percent cash back when shopping at Sephora.

Get free samples

Every time you make a purchase at Sephora, you score three free samples as a thank you gift. This can actually save you money in the long run because you can try products before you buy them. The website has a page featuring the samples from which you can choose.

Shop through a cash-back site

Shopping through a cash-back site such as Ebates allows you to net savings every time you order something from Sephora.

For example, shopping through Ebates typically nets you 4 percent back on purchases, but sometimes the total is even greater. For example, Ebates recently offered 8 percent cash back for a limited time.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rebates recently offered 4 percent cash back on Sephora purchases, and TopCashback offered 5 percent.

Purchase discounted gift cards

Purchasing discounted gift cards from discount websites can save you cash on every purchase at Sephora, and that’s a thing of beauty!

Recently, Raise offered Sephora gift cards at a discount of up to 6 percent. Such cards were available for 1 percent off at Cardpool, although we’ve seen even better discounts in the past.
