April is winding down, but don’t be fooled. There’s still a lot to look forward to, including National Pretzel Day. Since 1983, the U.S. has been celebrating the salty snack on April 26.
This Wednesday, several regional and national chains are offering free pretzels. Check out the list below, but be sure to call ahead to confirm your nearest location is participating in these offers.
1. Auntie Anne’s
Receive one free Auntie Anne’s Original or Cinnamon Sugar pretzel on Wednesday.
To take advantage, you must be a member of Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Perks. Download the mobile app at the Auntie Anne’s website.
2. Ben’s Soft Pretzels
Your good deed gets rewarded with a free pretzel at Ben’s. Simply visit Ben’s Soft Pretzels on Wednesday between 1 and 7 p.m. and make a charitable donation of at least $1 to the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation.
New this year, Ben’s Soft Pretzels is adding a giveaway on social media. Post your most creative photo on Instagram with the hashtag #WorldPretzelDomination2023 to be entered to win free pretzels for a year.
3. Philly Pretzel Factory
Everyone gets a free pretzel on Wednesday — no purchase necessary.
Plus, the first 100 VIP guests to reserve their spot at participating locations will receive a punch card valid for one free pretzel every day throughout the month of May.
Walk into any participating Pretzelmaker shop on Wednesday for a free order of small Pretzel Bites.
5. Wetzel’s Pretzels
Stop by on Wednesday between 3 p.m. and close to get a free Original Pretzel from Wetzel’s, which dubs the day “National Wetzel Day.”
The celebration continues on social media for a chance to win even more freebies. Follow Wetzel’s Pretzels on TikTok and share photos using the hashtag #WetzGo, and you could win beach-inspired branded merchandise.
“Content creators simply show how they #WetzGo and tag @wetzelsofficial to be entered to win a Wetzel’s beach cruiser and other Wetzside prizes,” the chain says.
