Stack up your savings with the latest deals for prospective Costco members.
A Costco Gold Star Membership is $65 a year and an Executive Membership is $130. Those annual fees can cover a load of savings, and if you sign up today through one of two new avenues, you can get free money too.
Costco partnered up with Groupon and Stack Social to entice new members. Purchase a one-year membership through either of them, and you’ll get a $45 Digital Costco Shop Card to use online or in store.
The deal runs on both platforms until Dec. 22 and is only available for new members or ex-members who haven’t had an active Costco membership for at least 18 months.
The Groupon offer
Groupon says you’ll wait up to two hours to receive confirmation from Costco about your membership purchase from the site. You’ll have to have either your Groupon or Costco confirmation email available to get your physical membership card at a Costco location, as well as official identification.
However, you don’t need a physical Costco card to do your shopping online, and Costco does have delivery options.
The $45 Digital Costco Card should reach your email within two weeks after your Groupon purchase. The one-year membership begins after the voucher is redeemed, and the Groupon offer is limited to one per household.
The Stack Social offer
Stack Social is an online marketplace that works with partners to provide deals on a variety of goods for a variety of customers. Costco is just one partner they’re currently working with.
After purchasing through its site, you’ll receive an email within two weeks containing a code to redeem your new one-year membership. You’ll have until Jan. 31, 2025, to redeem your membership, but Stack Social recommends redeeming it within 30 days. After you’ve done so, your Shop Card will be emailed to you within two weeks.
Purchases are limited to one membership per household and only for those based in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
