Krispy Kreme is offering what might be the sweetest freebie you will find in 2021.
The doughnut maker is offering free doughnuts — “anytime, any day, even every day” — throughout 2021 to anyone who shows a COVID-19 vaccination card. All Krispy Kreme shops in the U.S. are participating in the promotion.
The freebie is intended to add a little extra reward for those who get vaccinated. In an announcement, Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief marketing officer, says:
“We all want to get COVID-19 behind us as fast as possible and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them.”
Krispy Kreme also will support health care workers and volunteers administering vaccines by delivering free doughnuts to select vaccination locations in the coming weeks.
The company is even offering up to four hours of paid time off for each staffer who wants to schedule a vaccination.
Two other promotions are available at Krispy Kreme:
- During Be Sweet Weekends, customers who purchase any dozen doughnuts will get an additional Be Sweet Dozen (an Original Glazed Dozen with one smiley-face doughnut) to share with a friend or neighbor for just $1. This deal will be available on weekends through May 23.
- Customers can get one free medium brewed coffee and a free Original Glazed doughnut every Monday through May 24. No purchase is necessary.
