Buffalo, New York, Mayor Stan Makowski declared the first National Chicken Wing Day on July 29, 1977, and people have been partaking of the bird on that date ever since. This year, the holiday falls on a Friday and is sure to ruffle up some good deals.
In fact, several restaurants have already announced their free or discounted wing specials. Following are a few places we’ve rounded up to help you celebrate.

7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes
Speedy Rewards and 7Rewards members can celebrate National Chicken Wing Day at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores with 10 classic wings for $10.
Also, 7Rewards loyalty members are invited to Classic Wing Weekends, which gets you five wings for $5.99 Friday through Sunday.

Despite its name, Charleys offers about a dozen flavors of chicken wings, including teriyaki, bold BBQ and mango habanero. It’s also offering $2 off an order of wings of Friday when Charleys Rewards members use the app.
Additionally, if you order online and use promo code HAPPYWINGDAY, you’ll get $5 off a 30- or 50-piece wing order – boneless or classic.

Joella’s Hot Chicken
Enjoy a complimentary chicken wing with the purchase of any adult meal. The offer is available now through Friday.
