When I was a kid, stockings were the part of holiday gift-giving that seemed like an afterthought. No shade to my mom or dad, but back then stockings were usually filled with bulk candy and a few inexpensive toys.
Thankfully, times have changed. Today, stockings (and expectations) are bigger. If you’re in the market to fill some oversized footwear before the holidays, Aldi is “sleighing” it. Check out these Santa-approved stocking stuffers. Just note that offerings may be limited at your local Aldi.
1. Espresso ground coffee

Let’s get things started with a little Christmas caffeine. Cafe El Morro’s espresso ground coffee is a rich, dark, Puerto Rican-style coffee. One vacuum-sealed brick weighs 8.8 ounces.
I’ve purchased this variety for the past several months, and it rivals the significantly more expensive Cafe Bustelo.
2. Kids holiday finger puppet book

Now that we’re fully caffeinated, let’s tend to the kiddos. Cottage Door Press has a simple, but important mission: to spark the imagination in children and adults through the magic of storytelling.
The publisher’s offering at Aldi stores includes four versions of holiday-themed finger puppet books. Shoppers can choose from the following titles:

4. Butter cookies

Butter cookies are practically synonymous with Christmas, and Benton’s Butter Spekulatius (biscuits) are some of the very best.
Made in Germany, these shortbread cookies are buttery, rich and have just the right snap when you bite into them. An 8.82-ounce bag will fit nicely in a stocking.
5. Acacia honey

Fun fact: Honey never spoils. But Aldi-owned Specially Selected Acacia Honey might spoil the person you give it to. Every 12-ounce jar includes a portion of the honeycomb.
The flavor is mild and sweet — perfect with toast on that first quiet morning after Christmas.

Utz’s 20-ounce can of pub mix is the perfect snack to accompany classic holiday film screenings and board games. Its blend of savory pretzels, peanuts, cheese puffs (and more!) are practically addictive.
