Each day from May 25 through July 3, the state of Maryland will randomly select one resident who’s received a vaccine to receive a $40,000 prize as part of the $2 Million VaxCash promotion. On July 4, the state will hold a grand finale drawing for $400,000.

Anyone who’s a Maryland resident and has received at least one vaccine dose in the state is eligible. No registration is required. If you’ve already been vaccinated, you’re already eligible. If you get vaccinated during the contest period, you’ll be entered. Of course, the sooner you get your shot, the more chances you have to win.

The Maryland Department of Health will randomly assign a number to every vaccinated person over 18 that will be used in the Maryland Lottery. The lottery will randomly draw one number within the range of numbers provided each day, but it won’t receive the names of people who have gotten the vaccine.

The lottery will then provide the winning number to the Maryland Department of Health, which will then notify each winner. For more information, visit
