Popular parlors, restaurants and grocery stores across America are offering deals to celebrate National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 17.
We’ve got the scoop on who is offering free cones, coupons and other sweet deals. Some of these savings are available through the summer, so you can cool off with a frozen treat anytime.

1. Baskin-Robbins
Take $5 off your Baskin-Robbins order of $15 or more between July 17 and July 23. You must use code BECOOLER when ordering online. If you buy in-store, simply scan your Baskin-Robbins mobile app coupon at checkout.
2. Carvel
Buy one small cup or cone filled with any flavor of soft serve ice cream, and Carvel will give you a second one for free.
3. Cold Stone Creamery
Save $4 on an order of $20 or more. Simply download the Cold Stone Creamery app on your mobile device and create an account to receive the special discount. The offer is valid only on orders placed through the app between July 17 and July 21.
4. Dairy Queen
Dairy Queen is offering $1 off any dipped cone made with DQ soft serve ice cream. The coupon is available on the DQ app.
5. Dippin’ Dots
The nation’s leading flash-frozen beaded ice cream brand is giving away a free mini cup during a two-hour window on National Ice Cream Day. Each participating Dippin’ Dots location will have their own giveaway hours, so be sure to call your nearest store for details.
6. Hood New England Creamery
The Hood ice cream truck is making stops throughout New England, giving away free samples of its New England-inspired ice cream line. Free samples are distributed during set times on different days through Aug. 21. Follow Hood on Instagram to track down the truck’s scheduled stops.
7. Insomnia Cookies
The bakery known for its cookies has recently launched its own ice cream collection. To celebrate their new line and honor National Ice Cream Day, Insomnia Cookies is giving away a free scoop of ice cream with any in-store purchase or local delivery order. This offer is available all weekend.
8. Salt & Straw
Try something different on National Ice Cream Day at any of the 27 Salt & Straw locations. They’re offering a free spritz of their innovative ice cream topping dubbed Culinary Perfume. It’s described as “an edible fragrance created to spray directly onto ice cream to enhance the tasting experience by adding the crucial sensory element of smell.”
9. The Dolly Llama
Buy one ice cream cup or cone at any of The Dolly Llama Waffle Master locations in Los Angeles and get a second one for 50% off.
10. Whole Foods Market
Get 25% off ice cream and frozen novelties when you shop at Whole Foods now through July 19. Amazon Prime members get an additional 10% off.
