Streaming TV and music companies are dangling some year-end incentives in hopes of luring people to take the plunge and become customers.
Several of the most popular streaming services are promoting Black Friday deals to get you off the sidelines and into the world of streaming.
The deals from TV services include:
- Sling TV: New customers (and those whose subscriptions lapsed at least 180 days ago) who buy one month of Sling TV will get another month free. This deal ends on Nov. 29.
- Hulu: Now through Nov. 29, both new and eligible returning subscribers can get a year of Hulu’s ad-supported plan for just $0.99 per month. Normally, the cost of this service is $6.99 a month.
- Philo: Now through Dec. 1, new customers can get $20 off of their first month of the service, which normally costs $25 a month, CNET reports. Use the code BCFM.
- Paramount+: Now through Nov. 29, new subscribers can enjoy a free month of either the Essential or Premium (ad-free) plan. The normal prices are $4.99 and $9.99, respectively.
- Prime Video Channels: Amazon Prime customers who are not already subscribed to a number of premium channels can subscribe to each for $0.99 a month for up to two months. These channels include Starz, Showtime, AMC+, A&E Crime Central and more.
Meanwhile, new, current and former Amazon Music Unlimited customers can get up to six months of Disney+ for free. Amazon Music Unlimited starts at $7.99 per month, while Disney+ normally costs $7.99 per month.
Additionally, Best Buy is offering six free months of Apple Music for new subscribers on Black Friday. Apple Music normally costs $9.99 per month for an individual.
Lastly, the audiobook service Audible has a deal for new members: Pay $5.95 a month for the first three months of an Audible Premium Plus membership. The normal price is $14.95 per month. The deal is available through the end of the year.
