The Federal Reserve’s been raising rates all year, and they’ve signaled they’re not done yet.
Rising rates act as a brake on the economy, slowing it down in order to tame rising prices, otherwise known as inflation.
But there’s a problem with slowing the economy. Slow it too much and it could start sliding into reverse — in other words, a recession.
Many experts (and investors) are wondering if a recession is coming in 2023.
We’re already dealing with rising rates and a roller-coaster stock market. But preparing for a potential recession is a whole other ballgame.
In this week’s podcast, we’re going to talk about how to do it.
As usual, host Stacy Johnson is joined by financial journalist Miranda Marquit. Listening in and sometimes contributing is producer Aaron Freeman. This week’s special guest is David Alison, a certified financial planner (CFP) and president of C2P Enterprises.
Remember, even though we sometimes talk about money and specific investments on this show, don’t take them as recommendations. Before investing in anything or making any other money moves, do your own research and make your own decisions.
